We all know by now that the group or duo formerly known as Katy Perry and Russell Brand have now disbanded. I guess we didn't know much about the relationship to begin with except for two nutty people having that lavish wedding in India. But other than that can any of us actually put stock in the fact that these two would have been together...forever? The strange twist here is that apparently Russell was the one who wanted to break it off with Katy. He officially filed the divorce because Katy wasn't ready to settle down and have the whole wife & kids lifestyle. Shocking to most as Russell was originally the UK bad boy known for his boozey drug filled binging! As for divorce dollars, looks like Russell would be in for a big payday as some estimates have Perry making around $45M during the 14 months of their marriage. The kicker; according to sources no pre-nup signed.
Moving in the other direction, rumour mills are churning and burning about Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel getting engaged. US Weekly says sources are telling them that the couple exchanged their promises to marriageville back in December. These two have been dating on and off from 2007, and prior to the new year it looked as if the relationship was on rocky roads to say the least. Now we haven't gotten any confirmation from the couple or their reps, but where there's fire there is usually smoke. Mariah and Nick are spending their first days of 2012 in Aspen...in a hospital. Looks like Nick had a case of mild kidney failure, and was hospitalized during the couple's New Years Eve stay in Aspen. Mariah took to Twitter to address Nick's hospitalization with fans. "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman," the singer wrote on Twitter Wednesday. She even tweeted a pic of her giving Nick comfort in the hospital room itself.
With the New Year beginning, it would only be appropriate that we have a new season of 'The Apprentice' in our sights. The Donald has put together another promising cast that varies the spectrum of stardom. Where else can you see Lou "The Hulk" Ferrigno, Arsenio Hall, Michael Andretti and Victoria Gotti battling against each other? Wonder if they had to show their birth certificates prior to making the cut?
